"Tea Tree Dry Skin Relief from Thursday Plantation" Twitter Contest, I am one of the winners.
But I'm not sure whether I should be happy, or disappointed. Saw a post from Nuffnang Malaysia from it's Facebook Page:
Sounds easy enough doesn't it, since I'm a big fan of Thursday Plantation's tea tree oil, I decided to enter for fun. I did not have much expectations about stuff like these cause I never won anything before.
And a few days ago, I got this email from Nuffnang saying that I'm one of the winners. I won 5 bottles of Thursday Plantation Dry Skin Relief worth RM165! Woots, I totally did not expect to be chosen!
I was ecstatic, this is the first time I've ever won anything from a contest before! Until I saw this:
They're not going to send the prize to me?
But...but....I live in Sabah, which is across the sea from Kuala Lumpur!
There is no way I can go there myself without a plane ticket, and I haz no friends in KL.
Sigh |
I've just written to Nuffnang, hopefully they could help.
Otherwise, I should just let it go, maybe they could give the prize to someone else.

(sadness overload)
P/S: You know what sucks more than not winning? Is to win but couldn't claim the prize.
Congrats on your winning Lady G. I hope they will reply to you asap to resolve this prize claiming issue. Cheer up :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Magic Chic.
DeleteThat isn't cool that they wouldn't just mail it to you! Giveaways aren't always great. One person never sent me the prize at all and another company is taking over 2 months to send it! I always follow up with the PR people I work with if someone wins a giveaway on my blog.

It's definitely not cool since they never specified they won't mail it to participants. If they could only manage pick-ups for the prize, they should have put a disclaimer to warn people who lived a plane-flight away. The only reply I gotten is have me arrange for a representative for the pick up, I think I'm just going to give up on it, it's not worth the drama.
